HAL Q4 FY25 Results | Net Profits Dives to ₹3,976.66 crores; Revenue Declines Y-o-Y

Hindustan Aeronauticals Limited (HAL) declared its results for the quarter and year ending March 2025. HAL reported a decline of 7.71% in Q4 FY25 in its consolidated net profits for the 3-month period. On the revenue side, HAL posted a dip of 7.24% with a reported revenue from operations of ₹13,699.85 crores. The consolidated net profit of HAL for the period ending March 2025 stood at ₹3,976.66 crores.

- Revenue From Operations
For Q4 FY25, HAL clocked a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹13699.85 crores, down by 7.24% from the revenue of Q4FY24 of ₹14,768.75 crores. Compared with the revenue of ₹6,957.31 crores for the quarter ended December 2024, HAL registered a revenue growth of 97%.
- Profit and Loss Before Tax (PBT)
The Q4 FY25 PBT of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited stood at ₹5,218.66 crores, lower than the PBT of the quarter ended March 2024. In Q4 FY2024, the company earned a profit before tax of ₹5,795.00 crores.
- Profit After Tax (PAT)
On the net profits front, the aerospace and defence aircraft manufacturer took a hit of 7.71% in the PAT figures for the quarter ended March 2025. For the 3-month period under review, HAL earned a PAT of ₹3,976.63 crores, compared with ₹4,308.68 crores in Q4 FY24.
- Earnings Per Share (EPS)
The basic and diluted earnings per share of HAL for Q4 FY25 stood at 59.46, lower than 64.43 in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. For the full financial year 2025, the EPS of HAL was 125.07 (basic and diluted), which was higher than 113.95 for FY24.

Despite being on the lower side of earnings and revenue for the March 25 quarter, HAL’s share price opened on a positive note on 15th May 2025. The HAL share opened at ₹4,825.00, 1.715 higher than the previous close of ₹4,768.00. As of 1:04 PM, on 15th May 2025, the HAL shares were trading at a price of ₹4,877.00 a piece. At the same time, the market capitalisation of the state-owned enterprise was 3.26 lakh crores.

This decline can be attributed to the delay in the delivery of Tejas Mk 1A light combat aircraft, even after steady ordering activity from the defence sector. The company’s revenue also took a similar hit, with a decline of 7.24% in its consolidated revenue from operations for the 3-month period under review.
