Nikkei of Japan led the charge with a 6% increase, whereas other Asian indices also surged subsequently. Upside momentum in the Indian stock market today maintly attributed to optimism surrounding potential negotiations on US President Donald Trump’s tariff dispute.

In the morning session, BSE Sensex was trading up by 1,189 points of 1.63% at 74,327.37 and the NSE Nifty 50 by 371 points of 1.67% at 22,532.30. Small-Cap and Mid-Cap indices rose by 2.6% and 2.2%, respectively.
