ITC Hotels Share Price Jumps 6% After Q2 Results: Is It the Right Time to Buy? Profit, Margin, Valuation and Key Levels
The ITC Hotels share price rose as much as 6.1% to Rs 174.40 on the NSE on Tuesday, 27 Oct 2026, and was at Rs 170.71 at 10:09 AM, up 3.9% from Monday's close of Rs 164.31 (data provider and my calculation). The jump follows the ITC Hotels Q2 results, in which consolidated net profit rose 51.4% to Rs 201.02 crore, revenue from operations rose 25.6% to Rs 1,054.14 crore and occupancy reached 76%. The stock is still about 25% below its 52-week high of Rs 226.63, so the rally has recovered only part of the past year's fall.

Quick Answer
The ITC Hotels share price is up about 9.3% in two sessions, from Rs 156.25 to Rs 170.71 (my calculation), after Q2 ITC Hotels profit rose 51.4% and the EBITDA margin widened to about 32% from 29.3%. Whether it is the right time to buy depends on valuation and risk, because the stock trades near 38 times trailing earnings against an industry level of 37 (my calculation), and the one-year return is still about minus 26%. I could not find a brokerage target after these results, so this article shows levels and scenarios and not a target. It is educational and not a recommendation.
The ITC Hotels share price has reacted well to the ITC Hotels Q2 results, a quarter in which revenue, margin and occupancy all improved, and the stock has now closed higher on Monday and traded higher again on Tuesday. The company runs luxury and upscale hotels under brands that include ITC Hotels, Welcomhotel, Storii and Fortune, and it is also growing a branded residences business.
This article sets out the ITC Hotels share price today, the Q2 numbers, the operating metrics behind them, the valuation, the technical levels and the risks. It is educational and not advice.

ITC Hotels Q2 FY27 Results: What Drove the ITC Hotels Share Price
| ITC Hotels Q2 FY27 (consolidated) | Q2 FY27 | Comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations | Rs 1,054.14 crore | Up 25.6% from Rs 839 crore a year ago |
| Total income | Rs 1,106.04 crore | Up 25% from Rs 884.89 crore; up 11.2% from the June quarter |
| EBITDA | Rs 337.45 crore | Up 37.3% from Rs 245.75 crore |
| EBITDA margin | About 32% | Up from 29.3% a year ago |
| Net profit | Rs 201.02 crore | Up 51.4% from Rs 132.77 crore |
| Hotels segment result | Rs 205.86 crore | Up 46.4% from Rs 140.64 crore (my calculation) |
| First half total income | Rs 2,100.58 crore | Up 20.4% |
| First half net profit | Rs 384.56 crore | Up 44% |
Sources differ slightly on the profit figure. Kotak Neo gives Rs 201.02 crore for profit attributable to shareholders, while Angel One gives Rs 202.65 crore for total consolidated profit, and one site says revenue rose 15.5% while its own headline says 25%, which does not match the revenue figures it quotes. I use the Kotak Neo numbers for revenue and EBITDA and the data provider for total income.
The key reading for the ITC Hotels share price is that profit grew faster than revenue. A rise of 25.6% in revenue led to a rise of 37.3% in EBITDA and 51.4% in ITC Hotels profit, which means that each extra rupee of room income was converted to profit at a high rate.
Occupancy, Room Rates and RevPAR Behind the ITC Hotels Share Price
| ITC Hotels operating metric (Q2 FY27) | Change from a year ago | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Occupancy | Up 481 basis points to 76% | More rooms were sold |
| Average daily rate | Up 14% | Higher price per room |
| Revenue per available room | Up 21% | Combined effect of rate and occupancy |
| Room revenue | Up 22% | Led by higher rates and more bookings |
| Food and beverage revenue | Up 12% | Led by speciality restaurants, bars and banqueting |
| Management and operating fees | Up 25% | Asset-light income is growing |
| Revenue excluding branded residences | Up 17% to Rs 983 crore | Core hotel growth |
| RevPAR premium to the industry | 44% | As reported by the company |
These metrics explain why the ITC Hotels share price has responded. Occupancy of 76% is high for a September quarter, and a 14% rise in room rates shows pricing power. Part of the revenue growth, though, comes from branded residences, which are sold in lumps, so the underlying rise of 17% excluding that segment is the cleaner measure of hotel growth.
The company also approved a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai, subject to approvals, and it completed the acquisition of GHK Hospitality and Infrastructures on 1 Sep 2026 after buying Kerala Luxury Resorts on 19 May 2026. These moves point to expansion, and they will add integration work.

ITC Hotels Share Price Valuation: Is the Rally Already Priced In?
| ITC Hotels share price: valuation measure | Value | Comment (my calculation where marked) |
|---|---|---|
| Trailing earnings per share | Rs 4.51 | Data provider |
| P/E at Rs 170.71 | About 37.9 | My calculation; industry P/E is 37.06 |
| P/E from the data provider | 36.45 | Based on an earlier price |
| Price to book | 2.92 | Book value of Rs 56.35 a share |
| Return on equity | 7.01% | Low, because the balance sheet holds a lot of equity |
| Debt to equity | 0.01 | Almost debt-free |
| Market value | About Rs 34,248 crore | Data provider, on an earlier price |
At the current price the ITC Hotels share price sits near the industry P/E, so the market is not pricing it at a large premium or discount to peers. The low return on equity of 7.01% shows that the company holds a lot of capital for the profit it makes, and the P/E should be read together with the improving margin and the 51% profit growth. A trailing P/E also uses past profit, and the Q2 jump will lift it only as the quarters roll in.
ITC Hotels Share Price Technical Levels After the Jump
| ITC Hotels share price: indicator (daily) | Reading | What it suggests |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Rs 170.41 to Rs 170.71 | Near the day's range |
| 14-day RSI | 61.0 | Firm momentum, not overbought |
| 20-day EMA | Rs 159.90 | Price is about 6.8% above |
| SuperTrend (10, 3) | Buy, lower band at Rs 151.54 | Trend is up |
| Resistance | Rs 174.40 and Rs 226.63 | Day high and 52-week high |
| Support | Rs 164.31, Rs 159.90 and Rs 151.54 | Monday's close, the 20-day EMA and the SuperTrend band |
These levels describe the trend and are not targets. A close above Rs 174.40 would be a fresh test of the post-result high, while a fall below Rs 164.31 would take away Monday's gain. The ITC Hotels share price is well above its 20-day average, so a pause is common after a two-day rise.
Is It the Right Time to Buy the ITC Hotels Share Price? Points to Weigh
| Factor for the ITC Hotels share price | Supports the stock | Limits the stock |
|---|---|---|
| Earnings | Profit up 51.4% and margin up to about 32% | Part of the revenue is lumpy branded residences income |
| Demand | Occupancy at 76% and RevPAR up 21% | Hotel demand is cyclical and linked to travel and events |
| Valuation | P/E near the industry level | Return on equity of 7.01% is low |
| Trend | SuperTrend buy and price above the 20-day EMA | Stock is still about 25% below its 52-week high |
| Expansion | Dubai subsidiary and two acquisitions | Integration and approval risk |
The answer to whether it is the right time depends on your horizon and risk limit, and no single number settles it. A long-term holder of the ITC Hotels stock may focus on the margin gain and the expansion, while a short-term trader may focus on the levels above. I could not retrieve a brokerage rating or target for the ITC Hotels share price after the ITC Hotels Q2 results, so there is no analyst target to quote.
Conclusion: ITC Hotels Share Price Gets a Strong Quarter, Not a Free Pass
The ITC Hotels share price rose as much as 6% after Q2 ITC Hotels profit grew 51.4% to Rs 201.02 crore, margin widened to about 32% and occupancy hit 76%. The ITC Hotels stock trades near 38 times earnings, close to its industry, and it is still about 25% below its 52-week high, so the rally is a recovery and not yet a breakout. Check the filing, watch the Rs 164.31 and Rs 174.40 levels, and decide according to your own risk profile.
