5G services: A new realm of innovation bringing India on lead for Industrial revolution 4.0

The introduction of 5G services in India in a few towns has been officially declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will begin from 1st October 2022. At the India Mobile Congress in Delhi, the launch of 5G services took place. Airtel has stated that it would begin rolling out 5G today in eight areas. Jio wants to provide 5G to a few locations before bringing it to the entire nation by 2023.

5G is the next generation of mobile communication networks, which will offer faster speed and wider use cases than 4G. The rollout of 5G will increase the adoption of cloud gaming, AR/VR technology, Internet of Things, etc. 5G also has several enterprise use cases. For a start, 13 cities will be the first to provide 5G. However, as carriers like Airtel have noted, companies will take upto 2024to achieve full 5G coverage.

The launch date for Vodafone-5G Idea’s ambitions has not yet been confirmed, but information should be announced soon. Around Diwali, the maiden commercial deployment in 13 cities is anticipated. The fifth generation of mobile communication networks, or 5G, is expected to provide significantly higher speeds and more application possibilities than 4G. It is anticipated that the rise of 5G services plan will increase the uptake of cloud gaming, AR/VR, the Internet of Things, and other technologies. Several business use cases exist for 5G as well.

Jio Plans to cover every nook & corner of the nation within 1.2 years

Reliance Jio’s Mukesh Ambani said on Saturday that it plans to roll out 5G services plan nationwide by the end of 2023. By December 2023, according to the CEO of Reliance Industries, Jio would roll out reasonably priced 5G services that will be available throughout the entire nation. Jio has promised to offer the most affordable and robust quality 5G services in comparison to others globally.

” Jio is rapidly progressing to roll out 5G services in India within this month,” he said. Mukesh Ambani praised 5G as “far more than the next generation of connection technology” at the ceremony in Delhi. He claimed that additional 21st-century technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, robotics, blockchain, and metaverse, may be made possible by the development of 5G technology.

Robust demonstration of 5G’s real potential

A case study is how a teacher from a school in Mumbai was able to communicate with children in three separate places in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Odisha thanks to the seamless connectivity of a 5G network. This shows how 5G can improve education by eradicating physical distance between students and teachers and bringing them closer together. This marks the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) and how it may be used to instruct students across the nation remotely.

PM Narendra Modi’s view on how India will lead industrial revolution 4.0

The success of Digital India, according to the PM, is built on four pillars, including the cost of devices, digital connection, data costs, and a digital-first approach, all of which have been addressed. “India will be at the forefront of the industry 4.0 revolution thanks to technology and telecom. This is the century of India, not the decade of India

“In his speech, the prime minister declared. He added that one of the communication industry’s key advantages is interconnectivity. Only 6 crore people used broadband in 2014; today, there are over 80 crores. He emphasised the ways in which numerous advancements have reduced the cost of data.

“Earlier, 1 GB of data costs over Rs 300; currently, it costs roughly Rs 10 per GB. India, according to PM Modi, is now an exporter of mobile devices worth thousands of crores, making it a player in the world market. The last but not least benefit of Digital India is that every citizen now has a voice, as even the smallest street vendor uses the UPI service.

5G to help massively in safety use-cases across industries

Among other use cases, a display demonstrates how 5G  services plan can improve worker safety on construction sites. Tracking systems can considerably stop workers from accidentally entering risky locations, hence preventing workplace mishaps. Similar operations are expected to move up with 5G by assuring quick connectivity.

5G will also open up many possibilities in the artificial intelligence and machine learning space, as scientists will be able to program more and more data into their systems, resulting in quicker results and quicker solutions. 5G will speed up the development of many things.
