Stock Market Holidays in April 2026: 

The stock market (NSE & BSE) will remain closed for two days in April 2026, on 3rd April, in observance of Good Friday, and on 14th April, 2026, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. 

On these days, there will be no activity across segments that include equity derivatives, currency derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB) and electronic gold receipts (EGR).

On the occasion of Good Friday (3rd April, 2026), the stock market will remain closed all day; however, commodity trading will also be suspended on 3rd April. Meanwhile, on 14th April 2026, the commodity market is closed for the morning session. Meanwhile, the commodity session does not close in full on any stock market holiday; at the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), the morning session remains closed, but the evening session resumes at 5 pm and continues until 11:30/11:55 pm.
