Pearl Global Shares: Multibagger Textile Stock Gets Back-to-Back Target Price Upgrades, Should Investors Buy Now?

Pearl Global shares: about Rs 1,307 on 14 Oct 2026 (+1.8%), close to the record high of Rs 1,356.55. JM Financial initiated at Buy (Rs 1,610 per the headline), ICICI Direct upgraded to Buy (Rs 1,600) and Motilal Oswal raised its target to Rs 1,500. Q1 FY27 revenue Rs 1,528 crore (+24.5%), net profit Rs 100.5 crore (+48%).

Quick Answer

Pearl Global shares have received back-to-back target price upgrades, with JM Financial initiating at Buy with a Rs 1,610 target (from the headline excerpt), ICICI Direct upgrading to Buy with Rs 1,600 and Motilal Oswal raising its target to Rs 1,500 from Rs 1,360. At about Rs 1,307 on 14 October 2026, the three targets sit roughly 15% to 23% above the price (my calculation). The stock has more than doubled from its 52-week low of about Rs 630, so the debate is now valuation against management’s FY30 plan. On ICICI Direct’s August estimates, adjusted for the bonus issue, the stock trades near 27 times FY28 earnings (my calculation), so entry price and position size matter.

Pearl Global Industries is a Gurugram-based apparel maker that produces garments for global brands from plants in India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia and Guatemala. Pearl Global shares have been one of the strongest textile stocks of 2026, and on 14 October 2026 they rose 3% to 6% intraday as textile stocks moved higher.

This guide explains what each brokerage said, how much upside the targets leave, what management promised at its Investor Day, how Q1 FY27 went and what could go wrong. It also answers the question in the headline: should investors buy Pearl Global shares now? Figures I work out myself are labelled.

Several numbers in the news flow are not directly comparable, because the company issued a 1:1 bonus (ex-date 11 September 2026) and older targets were set before it. I adjust where needed and say so.

Pearl Global Shares: What the Three Brokerages Say

Brokerage Rating Target price Date Basis and note
JM Financial Buy (initiation) Rs 1,610 October 2026 From the headline excerpt; I could not find the full report
ICICI Direct Buy (upgraded from Hold) Rs 1,600 25 Sep 2026 26 times FY29E EPS of Rs 61.6; about 22% upside at the time
Motilal Oswal Buy Rs 1,500 (from Rs 1,360) 25 Sep 2026 One source says 18 times FY28E EBITDA; another does not state the method
ICICI Direct (earlier) Hold Rs 2,716 before the bonus 10 Aug 2026 About Rs 1,358 after the 1:1 bonus (my calculation); stock had risen 25% in a month
Motilal Oswal (earlier) Buy (initiation) Rs 2,300 before the bonus 24 Jun 2026 15 times FY28E EV/EBITDA; about Rs 1,150 after the bonus (my calculation)

For Pearl Global shares the pattern is clear: Motilal Oswal moved from Rs 1,150 on a bonus-adjusted basis in June to Rs 1,360 and then Rs 1,500, and ICICI Direct moved from Hold in August to Buy in September. Each upgrade of Pearl Global shares followed new information, mainly the strong Q1 FY27 results and the FY30 plan from the Investor Day.

Risk: Targets set before the bonus issue look twice as high as the current price, so always check whether a Pearl Global shares target is adjusted.

How Much Upside Do the Targets Leave in Pearl Global Shares?

Target Level Upside from Rs 1,307.05
JM Financial Rs 1,610 About 23.2%
ICICI Direct Rs 1,600 About 22.4%
Motilal Oswal Rs 1,500 About 14.8%
Simple average of the three Rs 1,570 About 20.1%

All upside figures for Pearl Global shares are my calculation from the 14 October price. The price itself is quoted differently across pages: the BSE showed Rs 1,301.15 on 13 October and the NSE Rs 1,287.50, while another page showed Rs 1,307.05 on 14 October, so small differences are normal.

The 52-week high of Rs 1,356.55 was set on 28 September 2026, and Pearl Global shares are about 4% below it (my calculation). The 52-week low of Rs 630.03 on 7 November 2025 means Pearl Global shares have a little more than doubled in about 11 months, which is why the stock is called a multibagger.

Risk: A 15% to 23% gap to the targets is a 12-month view, and a stock that has doubled can also give back gains quickly.

The FY30 Plan Behind the Pearl Global Shares Rally

Item FY26 actual FY30 target
Revenue Rs 5,025 crore Rs 9,000 to Rs 10,000 crore
Adjusted EBITDA Rs 468 crore Rs 1,080 to Rs 1,400 crore
Adjusted EBITDA margin 9.3% 12% to 14%
Annual capacity 100.8 million pieces 170 to 175 million pieces at 80% utilisation
Average realisation (FOB) Rs 640 Rs 660 to Rs 670
Capex through FY30 Not applicable Rs 675 to Rs 725 crore
ROCE Not given Above 22%

Management laid out these targets at its Investor Day on 24 September 2026, and Pearl Global shares rose on 25 September. It said growth would come from deeper work with existing customers, a larger share of their orders, new customers, new products, better plant efficiency and backward integration into knitting and dyeing.

For Pearl Global shares, the FY28 targets of Rs 6,000 crore revenue and Rs 580 crore adjusted EBITDA are expected to be reached early. One brokerage note quotes capex of Rs 350 crore funded by internal accruals, while the company figure is Rs 675 to Rs 725 crore through FY30, so the two may cover different periods. I treat the company figure as the main one.

Risk: These are company targets, not forecasts by an independent analyst, and a plan that doubles revenue in four years leaves little room for execution slips.

Q1 FY27 Results: The Base for the Upgrades

Item Q1 FY27 Year earlier Change
Consolidated revenue Rs 1,528 crore Rs 1,227 crore About +24.5%
Consolidated net profit Rs 100.5 crore Rs 67.8 crore About +48%
EBITDA (ICICI Direct) Rs 163.8 crore Not given Margin 10.7%, up 156 basis points
Volumes (ICICI Direct) Up 21% Not given
Gross margin (ICICI Direct) 51.5% Not given Up 550 basis points

ICICI Direct puts profit growth at 54% on its adjusted basis, while the reported net profit growth works out to about 48%, so the two numbers differ by definition. Results that support Pearl Global shares came out on 5 August 2026, and the sources I used for the figures are summaries, so please check them against the exchange filing.

ICICI Direct’s August estimates were revenue of Rs 5,825 crore and EBITDA of Rs 609 crore for FY27, and revenue of Rs 6,581 crore and EBITDA of Rs 743 crore for FY28. In September it raised earnings estimates by 3% to 4% and added FY29.

Risk: Q1 is one quarter, and the new plants in Guatemala and Bihar are still ramping up, which can weigh on margins.

Valuation: Are Pearl Global Shares Expensive After the Run?

Measure Figure Source or note
Market capitalisation About Rs 12,000 crore Page data on 13 and 14 Oct 2026
ICICI Direct FY27E EPS (before bonus) Rs 79.9 About Rs 40 after the bonus (my calculation)
ICICI Direct FY28E EPS (before bonus) Rs 97.0 About Rs 48.5 after the bonus (my calculation)
Price to FY27E earnings About 33 times Rs 1,307 on Rs 40 (my calculation)
Price to FY28E earnings About 27 times Rs 1,307 on Rs 48.5 (my calculation)
ICICI Direct FY29E EPS Rs 61.6 Used for the Rs 1,600 target at 26 times

These multiples for Pearl Global shares use ICICI Direct’s August estimates, which were later raised by 3% to 4%, so the real multiples may be slightly lower. Even so, the stock is not priced as a bargain: it trades above the 24 times P/E that Motilal Oswal cites as the 10-year average premium multiple for its textile coverage.

Motilal Oswal expects its textile coverage to deliver a 14% revenue, 27% EBITDA and 38% profit CAGR over FY26 to FY28. That is why the market pays a higher multiple, but it also means Pearl Global shares must keep delivering to hold the multiple.

Risk: At 27 times FY28 earnings, Pearl Global shares have less room for disappointment than they had at Rs 630.

Sector Tailwinds and Risks for Pearl Global Shares

Factor Detail
Export demand JM Financial sees healthy export order momentum and retailers shifting sourcing towards India
Trade agreements Motilal Oswal sees renewed momentum once the India and EU free trade agreement is finalised
Month performance Pearl Global, Indo Count and Filatex rose 10% to 36% in a month while the benchmark fell 1.4%
Tariffs JM Financial flags tariff uncertainty as the key near-term risk
Input costs Cotton and yarn price swings, freight and fuel costs
Plant utilisation Overseas plants run at 80% to 90% against about 62% in India (ICICI Direct)
Currency Rupee and dollar swings affect export margins

Motilal Oswal expects the sector to stay range-bound in the near term, with stock-specific moves. It prefers Pearl Global, Gokaldas Exports and Arvind in apparel.

Risk: A sharp sector rally can reverse on one tariff headline, even when the company is on plan.

Should Investors Buy Pearl Global Shares Now?

Three brokerages are positive on Pearl Global shares, the numbers are improving and the FY30 plan is clear. Against that, the stock is near its record high, up more than 100% from its low and priced at about 27 times FY28 earnings on my calculation.

Investors who already hold Pearl Global shares may prefer to hold while results stay on plan. New buyers may prefer to stagger purchases, wait for a pullback or size the position small, because ICICI Direct itself was on Hold in August after a 25% monthly rise. This is educational, not advice.

What to Watch Next for Pearl Global Shares

  1. Q2 FY27 results for revenue growth and the EBITDA margin against the 10% to 11% guidance for FY27
  2. Utilisation at the Guatemala and Bihar plants and the Bangladesh expansion
  3. Progress on the FY28 targets of Rs 6,000 crore revenue and Rs 580 crore adjusted EBITDA
  4. US tariff news and the status of the India and EU trade agreement
  5. The JM Financial report itself, once available, for its method and estimates

Conclusion

Pearl Global shares have earned their upgrades through a strong Q1 FY27 and a credible FY30 plan, and the targets of Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,610 imply about 15% to 23% upside. Pearl Global shares are also expensive after doubling, so the case rests on execution.

What is the JM Financial target price for Pearl Global shares?

Ans. The headline says JM Financial initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a target of Rs 1,610. I could not find the full report, so the method is not confirmed.

What are the ICICI Direct and Motilal Oswal targets for Pearl Global shares?

Ans. ICICI Direct upgraded to Buy with a target of Rs 1,600 on 25 September 2026. Motilal Oswal raised its target to Rs 1,500 from Rs 1,360 the same day.

Ans. Revenue of Rs 9,000 to Rs 10,000 crore, adjusted EBITDA of Rs 1,080 to Rs 1,400 crore, a 12% to 14% margin and capacity of 170 to 175 million pieces.

Did the bonus issue affect Pearl Global shares?

What are the risks for Pearl Global shares?

Ans. Tariffs, weak demand in the US and Europe, cotton price swings, currency moves, execution of new plants and a high valuation after a big rally.
