Adroit Industries: The Standout IPO Listing Today

Adroit Industries share price opened at Rs 235 on the NSE, a 75.37% premium to its issue price of Rs 134, and at Rs 250 on the BSE, an 86.57% premium. The stock then hit a 5% upper circuit at Rs 248.39 on the NSE, with more than 36 lakh shares traded by late morning.

The Rs 150.71 crore IPO, open from 23 to 25 September, had a fresh issue of Rs 132.62 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 18.09 crore. Adroit makes vertically integrated propeller shafts, also called drive shafts or cardan shafts, and related torque-transmission parts, with in-house forging, heat treatment, machining and testing.

The listing has changed the valuation picture. At the listing price, the stock trades at a P/E ratio of about 40 times earnings, far above the listed peer average of about 15.8 times, according to IPO analysts. Its exports to the US are exposed to tariffs, and its manufacturing is concentrated in Madhya Pradesh.

Swastika Infra: Steady Gains

Swastika Infra was the second gainer in the IPO listing today. The power engineering and infrastructure company opened at Rs 200 on both the NSE and the BSE, an 8.11% premium over its issue price of Rs 185. The stock then rose to Rs 210, about 13.5% above the issue price. The IPO was subscribed 7.60 times, with bids for 4,81,51,260 shares against 63,35,001 shares on offer.

Elevate Campuses Share Price Slips on Debut

Elevate Campuses share price listed at Rs 355.10 on the NSE, a 1.91% discount to its Rs 362 issue price, and then fell to a low of Rs 321. Around 11:26 AM, it was trading at Rs 343, down about 5.2% from the issue price, on heavy volumes of over 2.3 crore shares on the NSE.

Elevate was also the biggest issue in the IPO listing today. It owns, operates and manages on-campus student accommodation for higher education institutions and owns K-12 school assets. Its Rs 2,100 crore IPO was entirely a fresh issue of 5.80 crore shares, and the money will be used to acquire K-12 entities and campuses, repay borrowings and fund future acquisitions. The company is ultimately controlled by Hillhouse Investment funds.

ArMee Infotech: Flat Listing, Then a Slide

ArMee Infotech was the weakest performer in the IPO listing today. The IT infrastructure and managed services company listed flat at its Rs 375 issue price on the NSE. The stock then fell to a low of Rs 306.65 and was trading at Rs 317.10 around 11:26 AM, down about 15.4%. Its Rs 300 crore IPO was a fresh issue of 80 lakh shares and was subscribed only 2.62 times, signalling limited demand.

What the IPO Listing Today Tells Investors

The IPO listing today shows how closely listing-day returns track subscription demand. Adroit, subscribed about 177 times, delivered the biggest gains, while ArMee, subscribed about 2.6 times, fell sharply. Elevate, despite its size and strong backers, listed below its issue price in a volatile market.

Listing-day moves in any IPO listing today also say little about long-term value. A big premium can leave a stock expensive, as with Adroit’s valuation of about 40 times earnings, while a weak debut can create entry points if the business is sound. Investors should look at earnings, balance sheets and how the IPO money will be used.

Key Risks for New Listings

  • High volatility: Newly listed stocks often swing sharply until trading settles.
  • Valuation: Big listing gains can push multiples well above peers.
  • Lock-in expiries: Anchor and pre-IPO investor lock-ins ending can add selling pressure later.
  • Limited track record: Short public histories make it harder to judge consistency.

Bottom Line on IPO Listing Today

IPO listing today delivered a clear winner in Adroit Industries, up about 85% from its issue price, and a solid gain for Swastika Infra, while Elevate Campuses and ArMee Infotech slipped below their issue prices. Subscription demand proved a good guide to listing-day performance, but long-term returns will depend on execution and valuation. Consult a SEBI-registered advisor before trading new listings.
