The stock opened at Rs 1,115, fell about 4% to a low of Rs 1,107 on NSE and recovered to Rs 1,143 around 11:08 AM, still 0.94% below Friday’s close of Rs 1,153.80. Brokerages are split, with Buy calls from Nomura, UBS, Motilal Oswal and Emkay, Hold calls from CLSA and Antique, and a Sell from Nirmal Bang.

Quick Answer

Infosys share price target calls are split after Q2 FY27 because the company cut its FY27 constant-currency growth guidance to 1% to 2% from 1.5% to 3% even though revenue rose 10.7% to Rs 49,244 crore. Among 13 targets I could find, the highest is Rs 1,425 from Asit C Mehta and the lowest is Rs 902 from Nirmal Bang, with a median of Rs 1,115 that is 2.4% below the current price (my calculation). The stock trades at 15.45 times trailing earnings against an industry level of 17.55 and a trailing dividend yield of 4.15%. This is educational and not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold.

The early fall of about 4% in the Infosys share price was the reaction to the Infosys FY27 guidance cut, and by 11:08 AM most of it had faded. That recovery matters for anyone deciding whether to buy, sell or hold, because the Infosys share price target debate is now about what the next two quarters bring and not about a single opening gap.

This article sets out the Q2 numbers, every brokerage call I could verify, valuation, technical levels and a framework for each type of investor. HSBC estimates that the $2 billion mega-deal could add about 1% to FY28 growth.

Brokerage Views and the Infosys Share Price Target

Infosys share price target: brokerage

Rating

Target

Versus Rs 1,143 (my calculation)

Asit C Mehta

Not stated

Rs 1,425

Up 24.7%

UBS

Buy

Rs 1,415

Up 23.8%

Nomura

Buy

Rs 1,300 (cut from Rs 1,310)

Up 13.7%

Motilal Oswal

Buy

Rs 1,300

Up 13.7%

Emkay Global

Buy

Rs 1,300 (unchanged)

Up 13.7%

Jefferies

Not stated

Rs 1,140 (cut from Rs 1,160)

Down 0.3%

Antique Stock Broking

Hold

Rs 1,115

Down 2.4%

HSBC

Not stated

Rs 1,110 (retained)

Down 2.9%

Citi

Not stated

Rs 1,105 (raised from Rs 1,030)

Down 3.3%

Morgan Stanley

Not stated

Rs 1,075 (raised from Rs 976)

Down 5.9%

JPMorgan

Neutral

Rs 1,050 (maintained)

Down 8.1%

CLSA

Hold

Rs 1,003 (raised from Rs 976)

Down 12.2%

Nirmal Bang

Sell

Rs 902 (cut from Rs 968)

Down 21.1%

The 13 targets average about Rs 1,172, which is 2.6% above the current price, and the median is Rs 1,115, which is 2.4% below it (my calculation).
