Analysts and economists<br \/>\nexpected that this budget would probably balance growth along with increased focus<br \/>\non allocation to sectors like agriculture and healthcare. Given the record of the last<br \/>\ndecade, the government spending on infrastructure development was expected to<br \/>\ncontinue.<\/p>\n<p>Post the presentation of the budget in the Parliament, let us look at whether some of<br \/>\nthe expectations have been met and if there were any surprises!!<br \/>\nThe Union Budget 2024-25 identified nine priorities for generating ample<br \/>\nopportunities \u2014 Productivity and Resilience in Agriculture, Employment and Skilling,<br \/>\nInclusive Human Resource Development and Social Justice, Manufacturing and<br \/>\nService, Urban Development, Energy Security, Infrastructure, Innovation, Research<br \/>\nand Development and Next Generation Reforms. The Finance Minister made major<br \/>\nannouncements for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, including a boost in infrastructure<br \/>\nand special financial support, without any special status for these two
