The Zee Entertainment SEBI penalty stands at Rs 1.48 crore, with India’s markets regulator saying on Friday it imposed the fine of 14.8 million rupees ($155,168.80) on Zee Entertainment<\/a> and its chief executive and chairman emeritus for violating securities law.<\/p>\n

Alongside the monetary fine, SEBI also barred the company’s CEO Punit Goenka and founder Subhash Chandra from the securities market for one year.
