Sensex nifty today show benchmark indices trading on a subdued note in afternoon trade, a sharp reversal from the morning session’s strong banking led rally. At 1 pm, the Sensex<\/a> was up just 33.22 points, or 0.04 percent, at 77,088.16, while the Nifty 50<\/a> had turned negative, down 7.70 points, or 0.03 percent, to 24,044.35.<\/p>\n

Sensex nifty today had shown the Sensex up as much as 554.87 points and the Nifty up 157.20 points earlier in the morning session, powered by a broad based banking sector rally. By early afternoon, that entire gain had been erased, with the Nifty actually slipping into negative territory, a reversal of well over 500 points on the Sensex from the session’s best levels.<\/p>\n
