The Trent<\/a> Q1 business update<\/strong> for FY27 reported standalone revenue growth of 19 percent year on year to Rs 5,666 crore, up from Rs 4,781 crore in the same quarter last year. The market’s verdict was harsh: Trent<\/a> shares crashed on 7 July 2026, quoting at Rs 3,040.00 on the NSE at 9:36 AM, down 9.09 percent from the previous close of Rs 3,343.80, making it the top Nifty 50 loser.<\/p>\n

During the quarter, the Tata Group retailer added 1 Westside store and 19 Zudio stores, taking its total portfolio to 1,312 stores as of June 2026. The sharp fall after the Trent Q1 business update reflects the gap between the reported 19 percent growth and the much higher growth rates investors have come to expect from Trent.<\/p>\n
